LITTLEROCK, CA (August 24, 2021) – Sunday night, a 64-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 138 and 96th Street.
 
The incident occurred at about 8:22 p.m. on Highway 138 east of 96th Street East.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian ran from the east shoulder to eastbound and westbound lanes. Then, a westbound 2019 Hyundai driving around 55 mph hit the pedestrian.
 
As a result, the pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification. However, the CHP revealed that he resides in Pearblossom.
 
On the other hand, the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. She suffered no injuries in the crash.
 
Also, the authorities issued a SigAlert at 8:35 p.m. which closed all westbound lanes of the Pearblossom Highway. By 10:51, the lanes reopened.
