Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Collision with Car near 29 1/4 Road
GRAND JUNCTION, CO (June 4, 2018) – A man was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on D Road with a vehicle, on Monday night. His identity was not released by the Mes County Coroner’s Office, pending notification of family.
The accident happened near the intersection of D Road and 29 1/4 Road. Reports stated that an unidentified car was turning from D to 29 1/4, when the motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the vehicle.
According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by medical professionals. No other injuries were reported in the crash. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials; his identity is unknown.
No additional information has been released to the public at this time, as authorities continue to investigate the fatal motorcycle accident.
