CARLSBAD, CA (December 17, 2019) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on Avenida Encinas on December 16.
 
According to Carlsbad Police Sgt. Chris Karches, the incident happened after midnight in the 6800 block of Avenida Encinas, just north of Poinsettia Lane.
 
The unidentified rider traveled north on Avenida Encinas when he crashed into a parked vehicle and got thrown off from his motorcycle.
 
Authorities came to the scene and located the bike that caught fire. Meanwhile, the dead motorcyclist laid in the road a few feet away from the motorcycle.
 
The identity of the deceased remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
