Man Killed in Rollover Crash at Angeles Forest Highway and Angeles Crest Highway [TUJUNGA, CA]

Fatal Rollover Crash on Angeles Forest Highway in Tujunga

 
TUJUNGA, CA (July 26, 2019) – A man was killed following a rollover crash Friday afternoon, just north of La Canada Flintridge.
 
The crash happened around 4:10 p.m., at Angeles Forest Highway and Angeles Crest Highway. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
 
According to CHP logs, a car overturned and plummeted hundreds of feet over the side of a mountain. However, the events leading up are currently unclear.
 
Arriving paramedics pronounced the male driver dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained. However, the identity of the victim has been withheld pending family notification.
 
Furthermore, it has not yet been made clear whether or not anyone else was hurt in the crash.
 
In addition, California State Officials initially shut down both directions of travel along Angeles Forest Highway. However they soon reopened all but one southbound lane.
