Evening Pedestrian Crash on 15 Freeway in Hesperia Turns Deadly
HESPERIA, CA (November 16, 2019) – An unidentified man died in a pedestrian crash Saturday evening on 15 Freeway, in Hesperia.
The crash happened around 8:10 p.m., on 15 Freeway just south of Oak Hill Road. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a male pedestrian climbed over a barrier and ran into lanes where he was struck by a black Honda Civic. Several other vehicles also struck the man.
As a result, the victim, whose identity was not immediately available, died on the scene.
CHP officials blocked the first and second lanes of the freeway while they investigated the incident. However the area has since reopened.
