Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Beach Boulevard in Stanton

 
STANTON, CA (January 27, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian crash Monday evening in Stanton, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man appeared to cross Beach Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk or intersection when a vehicle struck him.
 
Deputies responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the vehicle who struck the man remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, the CHP said.
 
Information on the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
