Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on 80 Freeway in Vallejo

 
VALLEJO, CA (June 25, 2019) – A man was killed Tuesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash on 80 Freeway, near American Canyon Road.
 
The crash happened around 3:11 p.m., along the eastbound lanes of the 80 freeway. Dispatchers arrived just east of the American Canyon Road off-ramp shortly after.
 
According to reports, CHP officials say a white pickup truck, a red Kia and a semi-truck were involved.
 
Furthermore, the events leading up to the collision are currently unclear. However, all three vehicles were found on the shoulder of the freeway upon officers arrival.
 
Arriving paramedics eventually performed CPR on him. However, despite life-saving efforts he was later pronounced dead on scene as a result of the impact.
 
A SigAlert was issued in the area for a brief time while authorities cleared the scene. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
 
Details surrounding the multi-vehicle collision have not yet been released. Further investigation is still currently underway to determine liability.
