Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Ferry Avenue [Spokane, WA]

Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Ferry Avenue near Playfair Commerce Park

 
SPOKANE, WA (October 1, 2019) – A man lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Ferry Avenue, Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the Spokane Police Department, the incident happened at about 3:00 PM. Several witnesses reported the motorcycle traveling westbound at a high rate of speed. A short time later, the motorcycle slammed into a light pole near Playfair Commerce Park.
 
Construction workers nearby immediately called 911 and attempted life-saving efforts. Meanwhile, other witnesses helped extinguish the flames that engulfed the motorcycle.
 
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, described as a man in his 30s, died at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
