Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash at Santa Teresa Boulevard and San Ignacio Avenue [SAN JOSE, CA]

Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Santa Teresa Boulevard in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (August 24, 2019) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in South San Jose, police said.
 
The crash happened around 3:29 a.m. at the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and San Ignacio Avenue.
 
According to San Jose police, a man driving a 2016 Volkswagen Passat was turning west onto Santa Teresa Boulevard when he was hit by a Dodge Ram Laramie pickup truck.
 
As a result, the unidentified Volkswagen driver died at the scene.
 
The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene on foot and remains at large, police said.
 
The crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or Crimestoppers at 408-947-7867.
