Driver Dies after Crashing Head-On with Semi Truck on Highway 74 in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (December 4, 2019) – A man was killed in a head-on crash Wednesday morning on Highway 74 in Phoenix, Arizona.
 
According to reports, the man was driving a Mercedes sedan westbound on Highway 74. For unknown reasons, his car crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a semi truck carrying gravel.
 
As a result, the driver of the Mercedes died on the scene. Authorities only identified him as a 67-year-old Scottsdale man.
 
No other injuries were reported.
 
Authorities closed Highway 74 in both directions between 211th Avenue and Highway 60 for the investigation.
