1 Person Dead in Antelope Auto Accident on Walegra Road
ANTELOPE, CA (October 16, 2024) – Monday night, an 18-year-old man died in a fatal DUI crash on Walegra Road.
The incident happened at around 6:35 p.m. on southbound Walegra Road in the Antelope area of Sacramento County.
The California Highway Patrol said that a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control while changing lanes, and crashed into a light pole.
Officers confirmed that the 18-year-old male passenger of the vehicle died in the crash.
Authorities arrested the 18-year-old male driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
