BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 11, 2023) – Tuesday night, a man died in a head-on crash on South Mount Vernon Avenue near East Belle Terrace.
 
The incident happened at about 5:44 p.m. on South Mount Vernon Avenue near East Belle Terrace.
 
According to reports, officers located an adult male with moderate injuries. Then, one adult male sustained major injuries and later died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, responders took the injured driver to a local hospital.
 
Reports said that the vehicle traveled south at a high rate of speed. Then, it veered into oncoming traffic for an unknown reason and crashed head-on with the other vehicle.
