1 Dead in Fresno Pedestrian Accident near Elm Avenue and North Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 15, 2022) – Tuesday, a man died in a pedestrian crash near Elm Avenue and North Avenue in Fresno County.
The incident around 6:00 p.m. near Elm Avenue and North Avenue.
According to the CHP, as the man walked in the road, he stepped in the path of the car.
As a result, the car hit him and left him with fatal injuries. Also, authorities declared him dead at the scene.
At this time, they are trying to determine whether he was distracted by a video on a cell phone.
“Don’t be distracted walking on the side of the roadway,” said CHP Sgt. Nick Ranger. “If you are looking down at a phone, this man may have not even realized he was walking on the highway if he was looking at the telephone. It was on playing a video.”
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene.
