1 Dead in Wilmington Pedestrian Accident on Banning Boulevard and Anaheim Street
WILMINGTON, CA (December 8, 2021) – Monday night, a 64-year-old man died in a hit-and-run crash on Banning Boulevard and Anaheim Street.
The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. near Banning Boulevard and Anaheim Street.
According to reports, the hit-and-run driver struck the victim while crossing east on Banning Boulevard in an unmarked crosswalk.
Then, the driver headed north on Banning Boulevard at a high rate of speed. Also, the driver failed to stop and render aid to the victim.
After the crash, responders transported the victim to the hospital where he died.
Also, the authorities offered a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone who can give information leading to the driver’s identity, arrest, and conviction.
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact LAPD South Traffic Division Detective Moreno at 323-421-2500.
