1 Dead in Auto Accident on Ashlan Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (June 20, 2022) – Sunday night, a man died in a DUI car crash on Ashlan Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at about 7:00 p.m. on Ashlan Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue in Tarpey Village Area. Moreover, the crash involved a car and a truck.
 
According to reports, the man drove a vehicle, along with his wife and two children.
 
Upon the officers’ arrival, they confirmed that the driver of the car sustained fatal injuries. Moreover, investigators declared the driver dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the wife and the two children suffered injuries in the crash.
 
During the investigation, officers found out that the truck headed west on Ashlan Avenue. Then, it drove across the opposite lane of traffic and crashed head-on with the car.
 
After the crash, authorities arrested the 35-year-old male truck driver for felony DUI and booked him into the Fresno County Jail.
