PHOENIX, AZ (December 9, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a man died in a pickup truck crash near 59th Avenue and Campbell Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at around 12:15 p.m. when the pickup heading north on 59th Avenue veered off the road. Then, the vehicle struck the pole, said Phoenix police spokesperson Sgt. Vincent Cole.
 
As a result, the 60-year-old male truck driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed his identity.
 
Meanwhile, the 82-year-old female occupant of the truck required hospitalization due to serious injuries.
 
At this time, the events that have led up to the crash remain unclear. Thus, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
