Pedestrian Dies in Car Crash on Lakeshore Drive in Clearlake

 
Clearlake, CA (August 14, 2020) – Thursday night, a man died in a car crash in the 15000 block of Lakeshore Drive near Old Highway 53.
 
The incident happened at 9:13 p.m. on August 13.
 
Police say a pedestrian in his 80s found in the roadway severely injured. He was transported by air ambulance to an out-of-county medical facility. However, he died while undergoing treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
 
An initial investigation indicates that the pedestrian was crossing the roadway outside the crosswalk when struck by the vehicle.
 
Moreover, the case is pending further investigation and review for final determination and cause.
 
The identity of the pedestrian remains undisclosed, pending notification of the family.
