Man Dies in 2-Vehicle Collision in Pomona

POMONA, CA (February 20, 2019) – A man was killed in a collision between a sedan and a big rig in Pomona at around 12:22 a.m. Tuesday.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball, the collision occurred on the eastbound 10 Freeway over North Orange Grove Avenue. The male victim, who was believed to be 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:31 a.m.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 12:37 a.m. shutting down eastbound lane numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the area during the investigation. Lane 1 was later closed, leaving only the HOV lane open.

The incident is being investigated.
