1 Dead in Contra Costa County Crash on Highway 4

 
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (October 6, 2020) – Sunday morning, a man died in a fiery accident on Highway 4 and Pine Street.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred at 3:04 a.m. on westbound Highway 4. Also, it happened east of the Pine Street/Center Avenue exit, east of Pinole and Hercules.
 
Moreover, reports revealed that a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado drove off the north side of Highway 4 and went on Arnold Drive.
 
After the preliminary investigation, the CHP found out that the truck rammed through a fence. Then, it landed on its wheels on the frontage road until it caught fire.
 
Furthermore, the driver, whose identity remains unreleased, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the CHP hasn’t determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
