Two Fatally Injured after Vehicle Crashes into Tree near Valencia Boulevard
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 12, 2018) – On Saturday evening, two adults were killed after their vehicle crashed into a tree near the Valencia Boulevard off-ramp. The victims were later identified as 76-year-old Man Jae Hong and 72-year-old Kang Duk Hong, both residents of Santa Clarita.
According to CHP reports, the collision happened at around 6:11 PM. A white, four-door sedan swerved off the road and slammed into a tree near Valencia Blvd on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5.
The occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
Investigators are still trying to determine what factors contributed to the fatal wreck, and the events leading to the collision. No further information is available to the public at this time.
