27-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Lakeside Drive

 
CORTE MADERA, CA (May 30, 2018) – A man was hospitalized early Wednesday evening following a pedestrian collision on Tamalpais Drive.
 
According to police officials, the incident happened at 6:30 PM in the No 2 lane of Tamalpais Drive at the intersection with Lakeside Drive. The victim was crossing when a black BMW struck him. Witnesses say that the man was in a crosswalk and pedestrian warning lights were seen flashing.
 
The man was transported to Marin General Hospital for treatment and evaluation of his non-life-threatening injuries. There is no update on his current condition at this time. The BWM driver was reportedly unharmed and stayed at the scene to cooperate with investigators during their investigation.
 
In the preliminary investigation, authorities ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing factors in the crash. They also noted that the vehicle was traveling near or within the designated speed limit. However, they are considering the setting sun as a possible factor in the incident.
