Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident near Shopping Center [Rancho Santa Margarita, CA]

Pedestrian Struck and Seriously Injured in Avenida De Los Fundadores

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA ( December 16, 2018) – Sunday morning, a unidentified pedestrian was struck by a unknown vehicle near a shopping center.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson stated that the crash occurred around 8:53 AM, near the intersection of Santa Margarita Parkway and Avenida De Los Fundadores.

Officials reported the victim was walking across the street when he was suddenly struck. Due to the collision, first responders transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries. His identity and current medical condition has not been released to the public.

Sheriff’s shut down the intersection for several hours. There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the case as investigations are ongoing.
