Livingston Man Injured in Winton Motorcycle Accident on Highway 99 and Westside Boulevard
WINTON, CA (May 20, 2021) – Tuesday night, a 25-year-old man suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 and Westside Boulevard.
The incident happened just after 8:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 99, just north of Westside Boulevard in Winton.
According to reports, the 25-year-old Livingston man rode a 2018 Kawasaki at estimated speeds of 70 to 80 mph.
“Traffic ahead was slowed down and he didn’t realize it in time,” revealed CHP Officer Eric Zuniga. “He tried to dump the bike but he collided with a 2018 Lexus Coupe.”
As a result, responders airlifted the motorcyclist to Memorial Hospital in Modesto with major injuries. Also, the authorities do not believe that the injuries were life-threatening.
Meanwhile, the Lexus driver suffered no injuries. Moreover, the authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The crash led two the closure of two lanes on Highway 99 for around 38 minutes.
