Pedestrian Hospitalized in Berkeley Accident on Telegraph Avenue near Webster Street
BERKELEY, CA (June 16, 2021) – Monday night, a man sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Telegraph Avenue near Webster Street.
According to the authorities, the incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 3000 block of Telegraph Avenue between Webster Street and Ashby Avenue.
A northbound lowered, dark-colored mid-1990s sedan with tinted windows, possibly a Nissan Altima, struck a man in his 50s. Also, authorities believe that the man was in some kind of mental health crisis and had laid down in the roadway when the incident happened.
Moreover, responders transported the victim to a hospital with serious injuries.
Furthermore, the suspect vehicle fled the scene after the crash without stopping.
