FALLBROOK, CA (January 12, 2022) – Monday night, a man sustained injuries in a fiery crash on E Mission Road near Via Zancas.
 
According to the North County Fire Protection District, the incident happened at around 5:34 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on E. Mission Road near Via Zancas.
 
Reports revealed that a Sprinter van and a sedan collided head-on for still unknown reasons. Then, the van erupted into flames after the incident.
 
Moreover, responders rushed to the scene and extricated a male patient trapped inside the sedan. Then, paramedics transported the victim to a Palomar Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Furthermore, firefighters responding to the scene managed to put out the vehicle fire quickly.
 
Meanwhile, the incident blocked both lanes of Mission Road.
 
Also, officials confirmed that some off-duty Fallbrook Sheriff’s deputy and some unidentified Marines pulled over at the scene to help and provide aid.
