Man Injured in Fatal Crash on North Wood Road [Spokane, WA]

Spokane, WA (January 14, 2022) – On Thursday, a man sustained injuries in a fatal crash on North Wood Road.

The officers responded to the crash scene at about 7 a.m. in the 6500 block area.

Officers said a woman in a northbound 2003 Saturn Ion crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck the front of a 2005 Chevrolet truck.

Unfortunately, she was not wearing a seat belt and died at the crash scene. 

On the other hand, the man driving the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal collision. They withheld the name of the deceased pending notification of kin.
