SANTA ROSA, CA (September 9, 2021) – Tuesday night, a man sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Bennett Valley Road and Farmers Lane.
 
The incident occurred just before 9:00 p.m. on Bennet Valley and Farmers Lane.
 
According to reports, a 17-year-old boy driving a van hit and injured the man walking across Bennet Valley Road.
 
After the crash, the driver fled and came back to the scene after officers arrived. As a result, the authorities arrested him on suspicion of hit-and-run and released on a citation.
 
Meanwhile, Sgt. Chris Mahurin confirmed that the male transient failed to use a crosswalk during the crash.
 
Then, responders took the man to a hospital, and stayed in critical condition on Wednesday.
