1 Injured after Vehicle Crashes into Mall on Mission Street

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 31, 2020) – Thursday evening, a man sustained injuries in an auto crash on Mission Street in San Francisco.
 
According to reports, a vehicle crashed into the rear of the Westfield San Francisco Centre mall.
 
The police revealed that a driver was traveling west on Mission Street, approaching Fifth Street about 7:15 p.m. However, the vehicle crashed into the rear entrance of the mall. A 35-year-old man walking on the sidewalk was hit by the vehicle.
 
Responders transported the man with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the police.
 
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Moreover, the police ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash, SFPD spokesperson Ofc. Adam Lobsinger revealed.
 
Also, Lobsinger added that a city building inspector came to the crash scene. After evaluation, the building inspector reported that the building is still safe.
