78-Year-Old Man Hurt in 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 3 [Belfair, WA]

Belfair, WA (May 28, 2023) On Friday evening, a 2-vehicle accident on Highway 3 sent a 78-year-old Shelton man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), that the truck-motorcycle crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on SR 3 at milepost 26 south of Belfair.

Reports say that a southbound 2011 Ford Ranger pickup truck crossed the center lane and collided with a northbound 2012 BMW F650 motorcycle head-on.

Officials say that the Shelton motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital for immediate treatment.

Meanwhile, the Ford driver, identified as a 60-year-old Allyn woman, did not suffer injuries and is possibly facing vehicular assault charges.

Authorities are investigating the truck-motorcycle crash and have not released further details at this time.
