22-Year-Old Man Dies in Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision in South Las Vegas Valley
Las Vegas, NV (July 23, 2020)– A pedestrian accident in south Las Vegas Valley killed one man early on Wednesday morning.
The fatal incident occurred on July 22 at about 2:40 a.m. after witnessing an argument between two people. Las Vegas police Lt. Damon Young said that two people were seen near Las Vegas Boulevard South and Windmill Lane.
Young reported that the now-deceased victim was from out of state visiting with a friend. “The two got into an argument. During the argument, the victim decided to run into the street. While in the roadway a vehicle hit him.”
The vehicle was identified as a 2017 Lexus heading north of Las Vegas Boulevard driven by a 48-year-old woman. Meanwhile, the victim was identified as a 22-year-old Los Angeles man. Clark County coroner’s office will release his name as soon as the family was notified.
Pending Investigation of Fatal Pedestrian Accident
Officials are still investigating if the victim purposely entered the path of the vehicle.
Due to the extent of the collision, traffic was restricted to Las Vegas Boulevard from Shelbourne to Wigwam avenues.
