Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles

 
WEST LOS ANGELES, CA (January 12, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Sunday evening in West Los Angeles.
 
The crash happened around 7:35 p.m. on northbound 405 Freeway at Venice Boulevard.
 
CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office only described the victim as a Caucasian man in his 50s.
 
The vehicle involved stayed at the scene, the CHP said.
 
Officials issued a SigAlert in the area, blocking four freeway lanes, just south of Venice Boulevard. All lanes were reopened around 9:37 p.m.
 
Investigation of this fatal crash is ongoing.
