San Diego Man Distraught Following 2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 67 [Lakeside, CA]

Lakeside, CA (March 31, 2023) – On Wednesday, a 30-year-old San Diego man sustained serious injuries following a 2-vehicle crash on State Route 67.

The crash occurred at about 5:40 p.m. south of Foster Truck Trail.

Officers said the driver of a northbound 2019 Honda Civic lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the southbound lane, into the path of a 1996 Toyota Tacoma.

The front of the pickup collided with the right side of the car.

The Toyota driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. The Honda driver sustained minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital.

Reportedly, the 25-year-old Ramona woman driving the Honda was traveling at an unsafe speed, about 65 to 70 mph on a wet roadway conditions.

Investigating officers do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision near Foster Truck Trail.
