Man Dies in West Van Buren Street Pedestrian Accident [Tolleson, AZ]

Tolleson, AZ (July 23, 2021) – On Sunday, a man was struck and killed by a vehicle on West Van Buren Street.

The fatal incident took place at about 11 p.m. at the intersection with North 99^th Avenue.

The man was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a driver.

Responding officers pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Moreover, the involved driver stayed at the accident scene. Officers said the driver is not suspected of DUI.

Investigating authorities said the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when the accident happened. They are still investigating the West Van Buren Street crash.
