Modesto, CA (October 1, 2020) – On Wednesday, a man died in a scooter accident on Yosemite Boulevard and Ruffino Avenue.
 
The fatal incident happened before 7:00 a.m. just west of La Loma Avenue.
 
The police said the victim was crossing Yosemite Boulevard on a sit-down mobility scooter when a westbound vehicle struck him.
 
Moreover, witnesses told officers the victim used the crosswalk when he was struck.
 
Paramedics gave life-saving treatment to the scooter rider, but he died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities withheld the victim’s identity pending family notification.
 
Furthermore, the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
