Pedestrian Accident Near Boulder Highway and S. Nellis Boulevard Kills Eugene Buford
Las Vegas, NV (July 23, 2020) – On July 15, at approximately 3:21 p.m., Eugene Buford was struck and killed in an accident near Boulder Highway and S. Nellis Boulevard.
Evidence and statements gathered from witnesses by LVMPD confirm that the 74-year-old male victim was trying to cross the highway outside of a marked crosswalk.
Just then, a Chevrolet traveling south hit him.
The rescue team rushed the victim to Sunrise Hospital.
Moreover, the driver remained at the scene. Police said he was not impaired.
The victim died on July 23 at the hospital. Buford’s cause and manner of death are still pending.
His death marked the 53rd traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2020.
