Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Harbor Freeway

 
Los Angeles, CA (July 23, 2020) – On Thursday around noon, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Harbor Freeway.
 
The fatal incident happened around 11:20 p.m. in downtown Los Angeles.
 
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit by multiple vehicles near the collector road, south of Sixth Street. As they arrived, they found a man lying between the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
 
“Ultimately, the pedestrian was struck by a 2016 Toyota Prius and succumbed to his injuries,” Officer B. Watts of the California Highway Patrol said.
 
Authorities have not yet determined if the victim was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he was struck. Though, they said that Toyota’s driver was not under the influence and he was not arrested.
 
The police have not yet released the victim’s identity.
 
Meanwhile, authorities closed the collector road until 2:30 a.m. while the investigation is being done.
