Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 96

Fresno, CA (September 24, 2020) – On Thursday, a man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 96 in Pixley.

The California Highway Patrol says that the incident happened at about 4:50 a.m. when a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander tried to avoid hitting the man crossing the highway.

Subsequently, authorities say that the man died at the scene.

Moreover, an investigation is ongoing to determine the reason why the man was crossing the highway.

Furthermore, the driver did not leave the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.
