Man Dies in Loop 410 Traffic Accident [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (Aug. 6, 2023) – On Friday, a man in his late 20s or 30s sustained fatal injuries following a Loop 410 traffic accident.

San Antonio police said it was past 4 a.m. when they received a report about a body on the frontage road of Loop 410. They said the location was just right after the Rittiman Road exit near the Butter Krust bakery.

Minutes later, the driver called 911 to report that he struck a man who was walking in the middle of the access road.

SAPD sergeant said the driver initially didn’t pull over and rendered aid until he was a couple blocks away. That is when he called 911.

SAPD officers also said the driver is cooperating with their investigation. In the meantime, traffic investigators are trying to identify if the driver’s response to the fatal accident will be considered as rendering aid.

Officers are investigating the fatal accident.
