Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Granite Hills Drive [El Cajon, CA]

Pedestrian Fatally Struck near Jamacha Road

 
EL CAJON, CA (May 13, 2013) – An unidentified man was fatally struck by an SUV in a pedestrian crash on Granite Hills Drive Saturday night.
 
A northbound 2019 Bentley SUV was traveling on Granite Hills Drive around 10:15 p.m. The vehicle allegedly struck a pedestrian who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk at the time.
 
The driver of the Bentley was later identified as a 38-year-old woman. The victim, believed to be 50 to 60 years old, died on scene due to the impact of the collision.
 
Meanwhile, the driver cooperated with police and investigators. Authorities ruled out impairment as a likely factor in the accident. Drivers traveling on Jamacha Road faced closure until 4 a.m.
