1 Person Killed in Lafayette Auto Accident on Highway 24 near Oak Hill Road
LAFAYETTE, CA (January 9, 2023) – Sunday morning, a man died and a woman sustained injuries in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 24 near Oak Hill Road.
The incident happened at around 10:25 a.m. on eastbound Highway 24 near Oak Hill Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Yaris lost control for still unknown reasons. Then, it left the roadway where it collided with a tree in the center median of the highway.
Paramedics rushed the female driver and a male passenger of the vehicle to a hospital. However, the passenger later died at the hospital. Meanwhile, the driver sustained life-threatening injuries, CHP said.
Moreover, authorities closed multiple lanes of the highway to give way to the investigation.
