SANTA MARIA, CA (August 1, 2021) – Friday night, a man died in a motorcycle crash on Broadway Road and McCoy Lane.
 
According to Santa Maria Police Department, the incident happened at around 10:50 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on southbound Broadway Road and McCoy Lane.
 
Reports revealed that a car attempted to make a turn onto McCoy from Broadway with a green arrow signal. Then, it struck a southbound motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the red light.
 
Furthermore, responders pronounced the male motorcyclist dead at the scene. The female driver of the vehicle sustained no injuries in the crash.
