Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident on Sahara Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 28, 2019)—A man died early Saturday in a pedestrian accident on Sahara Avenue near Tee Street.
According to Lt. Ken Nogle of the Metropolitan Police Department, a driver struck the 20-year-old male pedestrian outside of a crosswalk, where he most likely had been walking.
Witnesses informed the police that the eastbound 1999 Honda Accord ran over the man while he’d been lying on the ground. Shortly after, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The fatal victim’s identity has yet to be released, pending family notification. However, the 45-year-old woman driving the Honda stayed on site and cooperated with officials. Authorities eventually ruled out driver impairment as a possible factor.
Since the details of the 4:00 a.m. crash are unclear, authorities plan to investigate this incident further.
