Man Dead in Hit-and-Run Crash on Main Street and 70th Street [Los Angeles, CA]

1 Killed in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Main Street and 70th Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 15, 2021) – Early Wednesday morning, a man died in a hit-and-run crash on Main Street and 70th Street.
 
According to Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened at around 1:20 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on southbound Main Street and W. 70th Street just north of 71st Street.
 
Reports revealed that the male victim was standing in the southbound lanes of the road. Then, a light-colored two-door car struck him. The force of the crash flung the victim into the air and comes into rest on northbound Main Street.
 
Meanwhile, a female driver going northbound on Main Street saw the victim lying in the road. She pulled over, exited her vehicle, and spoke with the victim before going back to her vehicle and drove off.
 
Furthermore, a man driving a Prius also saw the victim and pulled over. The Prius driver was checking on the victim from the safety of his vehicle when a northbound dark sedan struck the victim and drag the man about 60 feet. The Sedan driver fled the scene after the collision, and the male Prius driver moments later.
 
Moreover, responders from Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the male victim dead on the scene.
 
Meanwhile, LAPD detectives are actively looking for the light-colored car and the dark sedan. Also, they are searching for the woman who spoke to the victim as well as the Prius driver for investigation.
