YUBA COUNTY, CA (December 5, 2021) – Friday night, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Forty Mile Road near Rosser Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 8:17 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Forty Mile Road south of Rosser Road.
 
Reports revealed that a Toyota T100 pick-up truck struck a 45-year-old male pedestrian as he walked northbound on the second lane of Forty Mile Road. Then, a Toyota Highlander pulled over and acted as a shield to the injured victim. However, a Chevrolet S10 struck the Highlander. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Highlander to hit the injured pedestrian.
 
Moreover, responders confirmed that the pedestrian died in the crash.
 
Furthermore, officials said that during the incident, there were patches of fog in the area that may have played a role in the incident.
 
The incident remains under investigation.
