MECCA, CA (February 8, 2023) – Sunday night, a man died in a pedestrian crash on 62nd Avenue and Buchanan Street.
The incident happened at around 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of 62nd Avenue and Buchanan Street.
According to CHP Officer David Torres, a westbound Nissan Altima struck a male pedestrian as they walked in the westbound lanes of the roadway. Then, the force of the crash throws the victim airborne and landed on the asphalt road.
Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
