Barstow, CA (August 30, 2020) – Sunday morning, a man sustained severe injuries in a single-vehicle rollover crash on the Southbound I-15 near the Minneola Road off-ramp.
 
The incident happened at 11:53 a.m. on August 30.
 
According to reports, a black sedan overturned onto the freeway’s right-hand dirt shoulder, causing the male driver to be ejected. However, events leading to this crash is still unknown.
 
Moreover, a witness said they found the male passenger covered by part of the bumper on top of him and helped him get out. The passenger appeared disoriented, confused, agitated, and eventually started running southbound away from the scene.
 
Emergency personnel requested a Mercy Air helicopter to airlift the male driver to a trauma hospital.
 
A CHP helicopter also responded and located the passenger who attempted to flee from the scene. Per the logs, the man tried to enter a strangers vehicle. He was taken into custody.
