Pedestrian Struck and Critically Injured by Car in Visalia

 
VISALIA, CA (July 17, 2019) – A 36-year-old Visalia man is now in critical condition after a pedestrian accident at Walnut Avenue and Court Street Sunday night.
 
The police said callers reported the collision at about 10:35 p.m. near a 7-Eleven. In addition, witnesses told the officers that a Honda Accord traveling east on Walnut Avenue hit the pedestrian who stepped out into the roadway.
 
The man subsequently slammed against the windshield. As a result, paramedics transported him to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with critical injuries. However, the 46-year-old Visalia man driving the Honda did not sustain injuries.
 
The officers ruled out alcohol, drugs, and speed as factors in the collision. However, a further investigation is conducted by the Visalia Police traffic unit. Anyone with information can call them at 734-8117.
