Bakersfield, CA (June 04, 2020)– On Wednesday night, Robert Forbes died in auto-pedestrian crash on California Avenue.
 
The crash occurred at around 10:30 p.m on June 3. Dispatched officers arrived and located a vehicle and the injured pedestrian on the scene.
 
According to reports, the driver of the car heading eastbound in the 3100 blocks of California Avenue when he hit Mr. Forbes, who was crossing the roadway.
 
As a result, the man transported to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver pulled over and waited for the police to arrive. Police say he showed no signs of impairment and, but did have his headlights off when the accident happened.

Robert Forbes spent three days in the hospital, but unfortunately passed on Saturday morning.
