Male Detained after Santa Clarita Car Accident

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (April 26, 2019) – Authorities arrested a man in a hit-and-run accident on Soledad Canyon Road and Luther Drive on April 23.
 
Authorities responded to the collision around 3:12 p.m. According to reports, two vehicles collided into each other. One was driven by a man, the other a woman.
 
“When the collision happened, the driver of one of the vehicles (began) leaving the scene,” Sgt. Scott Shoemaker stated.
 
“The driver of the other car started following him to get him to stop. They ended up colliding,” he added.
 
Upon the deputies’ arrival, they found the man running south on Luther, then hopping a fence into the wash.
 
They began chasing him on foot from the southern end of Luther, across the wash to the Metrolink Station at Via Princessa.
 
As a result, the man sustained injuries.
