FRESNO, CA (May 14, 2019) – Authorities arrested a man after a DUI crash on Second Street on May 13.
 
The incident occurred at about 4:00 a.m. near Second Street and Washington Avenue. The incident started when the man collided with a fire hydrant.
 
Upon the officers’ arrival, they found the man in his vehicle with his foot still on the gas pedal. Troopers pulled him to safety via the passenger side door.
 
Crews revealed that the crash sheared off the hydrant, which led to a formation of a sinkhole.
 
They shut off the water and repaired the damage.
